A Unique Educational Experience
Starting in 2011 and headed by highly qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher, Angélique Parmentier, the Homestay programme is an extremely educational experience for young adults and children who wish to visit the UK and live with a British host family. Students will experience the UK in a totally unique and authentic way in the award winning market town in Oxfordshire.
Very close to the city of Oxford the ‘city of dreaming spires’ and University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English speaking world. Less than an hour from London.
Highly-qualified Guidance
Angélique Parmentier has been a Modern Foreign Languages teacher since 1996 and has taught French and German languages at schools including Sutton Grammar School for Boys, London where she was also Head of Lower School and currently at Pinewood School – a preparatory school in Oxfordshire. During her career Angelique has also taught English as a foreign language to Chinese students in France.
Complete Immersion into British Culture
Host family courses are perfect for students that want to visit the UK to experience British culture first-hand and immerse themselves in an English speaking environment for the majority of their stay. Homestay gives students the opportunity to practice English in an everyday setting, outside the classroom. Students have the opportunity to share cultural experiences, learn more about Britain and improve their languages skills – an experience that will stay with them for a lifetime. The idea is for each homestay participant to learn whilst having the most fun possible. We currently offer a fully inclusive 2 week programme as well as a 5 night cultural / teaching visit and all course leaders are DBS checked (background checks).
