Background

New Home Improvement Group are a leading building company based in Oxfordshire, specialising in home extensions, building projects, landscaping, driveways, patios, garden rooms, veranda rooms and outdoor kitchens – all under one roof.

Migrate UKs Involvement

Director, Darren Field found Migrate UK via LinkedIn and contacted us for advice and assistance on 27th October 2023 for a new employee whose Graduate Visa was due to expire on 30th November 2023.  New Home Improvement Group did not have an employer Sponsor Licence in place for the employee to switch to a skilled worker visa – as a result, prompt action was required.

Results

Migrate UK assisted New Home Improvement Group with their sponsor licence application and submitted it on Friday 3rd November via the priority service route. We had a decision by 9th November from UKVI, which was a four working day turnaround.

By 13th November, the employee submitted his skilled worker visa application to UKVI under the priority service and attended his BRP appointment on 24th November with a successful decision reached on Saturday 25th November.

The whole process was completed before the graduate visa expiry date with the employee avoiding the stress of having to leave the UK and apply from overseas, which is costly and would have caused delays for the onboarding process.  The business avoided losing a valuable employee and enduring the expense of the hiring process to try and find someone else, and potential loss to revenue.

The success of the case was down to the efficiency of the team at New Home Improvement Group and the Migrate UK team working together to submit the application within such a short deadline.

“We identified the best man for the Project Manager position. The fact that he was a resident of Zambia was problematic and his visa was due to expire within a month. Having looked online at the government website, the paperwork filled me with dread.

After an initial chat with Karen, I was quickly put at ease. Our application was fast tracked and completed within a week. Unbelievable!!

The whole thing was managed in house at Migrate UK and was seamless. We are actively advertising abroad now, and no doubt will be talking to Migrate UK again soon.

Our biggest problem at present is recruitment. This has opened new doors to company growth now and we look forward to 2024 with renewed hope thanks to Karen and her team at Migrate UK" - Darren Field, Managing Director, New Home Improvement Group

"Karen and the team at Migrate UK were extremely helpful throughout the whole visa application process and made what should’ve been a tiresome ordeal, one of the easiest transitions I have ever experienced. Karen informed me of every step I needed to take and made everything very clear. If I needed help or was unsure of anything she was always there to assist. To have received the visa in such a short amount of time is still astonishing for how easy the process was from my end. I would highly recommend Karen and Migrate UK to anyone who is going through these visa procedures!" - Shaun Thuraittnam, Project Manager -New Home Improvement Group
